Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever thought of buy a robot vacuum now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones. its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to detect objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's the first robot to provide you with a picture of an object that it encounters, so that you can tell the robot to stay clear of it.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly and leaves no trace of it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.

Its design is also superior to the rest, with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot rather than a loud, loud one. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to eliminated dirt, dust and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, rather than scattering it around the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand that other robots can't. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, although not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and cannot clean the stairs, is still an excellent choice for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic vacuum cleaner on sale cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. This type of robot typically has a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're expensive at retail, but usually are reduced on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our most loved robot vacuums and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto vacuum-empty model, and while it's not equipped with some of the features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing compromise a bit in order to save some hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem where many cheaper robot vacuums often fall short. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic and has very few misses in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning or schedules, establish virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place, emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It also comes with an impressive LCD display, which is nice to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people, but it's one that will aid in keeping track of the maintenance intervals for your robot effortlessly.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are among the best automatic vacuum cleaner on the market - but it's also pricey.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is quite compact. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, it electrolyzes and heats the water (which the majority of other robots require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot clean and charged.

It's one of the few robovacs I've tested that do an excellent job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

But the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, and it doesn't have an dock that allows you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone seeking a great all-round robot vacuum and mop that's worth the higher price cost.

If you're looking to save money or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and offers a similar in-app experience with more features, including the ability to climb stairs, a full-function dock, and better overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a price that is affordable. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock near an outlet for power and ample space to allow it to move however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish with three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters while retaining what it's cleaned and what it isn't able to access. When it needs to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it started.

The eufy G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and offers similar battery life, while providing better performance on bare floors and low-pile carpet. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
