Upgrades can increase the stats of a piece of equipment and sometimes even its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random enhancements used.

Reroll tokens can be used to change the attributes of a piece of equipment for example, increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.

Players can reroll their equipment using three aspects that include physical power, magical power, and health. Upgrades to physical power can increase the damage caused by weapons and melee attack, while upgrades to spell power boost mage attacks and the ring. Three types of rerolls tokens are available such as upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each upgrade takes an item to a higher quality and requires an upgraded reroll token in order to create it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, while rare upgrades require a unique or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces, stays on the spot until the next success is being rerolled. This is a way to avoid wasting upgrades.

Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. Once they are open they will display a complete description and the icon of the relevant appliance or ingredient. The restaurant's store will exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.

Most often rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, whereas rare armor requires only one blue or green Growth Stone.

After deciding on the item to upgrade the player has to select the number of Growth Stones that they want to purchase and pay the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he can click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level by a specific percentage. Depending on the item's rarity the upgrade process can take between seconds and minutes.

The upgrade process is risk-free, and does not impact the longevity of the item. This makes it an excellent method for players to get a significant advantage in combat without straining their bank accounts. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item onto an entirely new piece of equipment.

The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty is a daunting task for novice players. There are several ways to acquire the stones. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, collect them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for instance is highly sought-after by the melee PvP communities and can be worth 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.

The game will highlight the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. These include the type of item (either weapon or armor) the tier of that item, the upgrade Token needed, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.

If you've fulfilled the conditions for upgrading the game will put the item in your inventory and the progress bar will be updated to show how close to completing it. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
